Design - Teacher Training and Staff Development
Being a designer at Teach For America means that you’re designing learning experiences to ensure corps members and staff members are achieving at their highest levels.
Designers who focus on teacher training work to ensure that teachers have the initial training and ongoing support they need to be successful. Designers are the architects of the frameworks, methods, and materials for our pre-service institute and our two-year ongoing training and support program. They also drive innovation and consistency in how teachers collect and assess data in order to measure academic growth with students.
Designers who focus on staff development create trainings and support systems to help our staffers become more effective in their roles. We know that our people are our greatest strength, and we make every effort to invest in their development and make sure they’re satisfied.
Typically, our designers have experience either teaching in the classroom or building innovative adult learning programs to help nurture our staff as leaders.
